Why don\u2019t you join me and take a trip across the globe? \u00a0Really, I\u2019m serious.<\/p>\n

I know, I know. \u00a0You\u2019ve got a job and not enough vacation time, you\u2019re paying back loans, don\u2019t have a lot of money, have other commitments like weddings and other special events to go to. \u00a0Maybe you have children; maybe you are in a relationship and your significant other can\u2019t go. \u00a0There are many good and fair reasons not to go, so I understand why you can\u2019t make it. \u00a0But realize this \u2013 there will always be great reasons not to go. \u00a0It will never be the right time. \u00a0It will always feel expensive (unless you are very wealthy \u2013 in which case, please consider helping to sponsor my travels by sending a donation to me \ud83d\ude42 \u00a0). \u00a0There will be conflicts, events to go to, people to see. \u00a0So, how do you go if there\u2019s never a right time to go?<\/p>\n

First, realize that you have choices, and the ability to make decisions with respect to those choices. \u00a0In fact, every day you have a myriad of choices that you are making, many that you don\u2019t even realize. \u00a0Should I get out of bed when my alarm goes off? \u00a0Should I go into work today? \u00a0Should I get done what I need to do or watch TV? \u00a0Choices and decisions can be minor or be more drastic — like the decision of whether or not to take a 3 month trip to Southeast Asia. \u00a0Remember when your Mom and Dad told you you could do anything you want when you grow up? \u00a0Well the good news is, you still can. \u00a0Well, pretty much anything. \u00a0Really, \u00a0you can. \u00a0You just need to really want it, be ready to work for it, and be smart about how you use your time as you work. \u00a0So you are choosing your own path \u2026 and perhaps you may choose to travel. \u00a0Great, that is the same choice I made as well. \u00a0Perhaps you have no interest in traveling … that is fine too. \u00a0But what other dreams do you have? \u00a0Interests you’d like to pursue?<\/p>\n

After that, write down all the issues, fears, problems, and other reasons you can\u2019t go. \u00a0Here were some of mine:<\/p>\n
